Decision Point Research has extensive experience in the market research industry and during the COVID-19 pandemic has been conducting online surveys for several clients. With our online surveys, customers get access to robust general population databases, which include a significant multicultural panel as well as other difficult-to-reach populations such as business owners, healthcare professionals and more.
The Situation
The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed the world as we know it. The pandemic has had a significant impact on employment, how we work, and our wellbeing. As a result, our client, a Canadian human resources services and technology company was seeking to measure the ongoing impact of COVID-19 on the mental health of the working population in the Western world.
Challenges & Solutions
The main challenge associated with this online survey was that it sought to measure the mental health of the working population in multiple Western countries.
Decision Point Research collaborated with the client to create a monthly online survey that could be administered to a nationally representative sample in Canada, USA, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
The survey features key questions that are asked each month, enabling month on month tracking of changes in mental health, as well as a new question each month where topical issues can be addressed.
The same survey is administered across each country, which also enables country comparisons. The survey has been dubbed the Mental Health Index and has been running every month since April 2020.
The Result
The client has been able to use the survey and its data to create an index that measures the mental health of the working population across the Western world.
The client has approached Decision Point Research to continue the Mental Health Index into next year.
