Computer-Assisted Personal Interviews (CAPI)
We use advanced CAPI software for our intercept and on-site interview research.
Interviews can be conducted using tablets or smartphones, and are conducted independently of our servers, so a Wi-Fi or data connection is not required at the time of the interview. Information is automatically relayed to the remote server as soon as a communication link is available; this may be at the end of each interview or each shift, depending on the requirements of the study to monitor results in real time.

How We Conduct Intercept Interviews
Trained interviewers select respondents by stopping them in a public place such as a grocery store or a shopping mall, and then administering a short survey on a laptop, tablet, or pencil and paper about consumer behaviours, habits, preferences, or perceptions. Our experienced interviewers are skilled in selecting a representative population and developing rapport to elicit honest responses.
We typically use a dozen interviewers stationed at several locations for three to five days, resulting in 200 to 500 responses. Intercept surveys are a powerful technique, and in many cases match or exceed the reliability of online samples.
